In October 2023, ReSolved Technologies received a grant from the European Union (JTF) for the project titled “De oplossing voor oplossen”. This grant was used to support the development and construction of a pilot plant based on the company’s advanced dissolution recycling technology. The pilot facility was constructed in 2025 and represents an important milestone in validating ReSolve’s proprietary process for recycling technical plastics.

Building on this achievement, ReSolved is now entering the next development phase with the AVEREC (Add Value through Removing Colour) project, in which a demonstration plant will be constructed. JTF (Just Transition Fund) has reaffirmed its support by awarding a new grant for this project. This grant will be used to build a 4 kT/a production line to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of the company’s technology at a larger scale.

The project also covers optimization of the recycling chain for technical plastics through collaboration with partners across the entire value chain. Activities include improving the pre-cleaning of input streams and working closely with OEMs and offtake partners to assess whether the recycled materials meet the required specifications for their applications. Particular emphasis will be placed on maximizing the removal of contaminants to produce high-quality recycled materials suitable for demanding end-use applications.

The results of the project are expected to validate the business case and form the basis for the development of a future full-scale commercial plant of 12 kT/a.
